SFRM 2024
Spring Fling Rural Mural returns this year, 10 years after the project first launched, this time, in Stranraer!
Find out about the project, the location of the mural and how to visit it during this year’s event – make SFRM part of your Spring Fling adventure!
Join a Bus Tour
This year we have a range of bus tours in partnership with community transport partners in Galloway, the Cairn Valley, and Thornhill.
Tours will be departing from Lockerbie, Dumfries, New Galloway, St John’s Town of Dalry and Kirkcudbright.
These tours will help visitors reach studios out with the main centres to explore the region and the studios taking part in rural areas. They will travel to new studios covering area like Moffat and Stranraer.
CREATE
This year, our CREATE programme supports two visual artists working in experimental, less commercial ways.
Through this scheme, these artists have been offered a free place in the event as the work they are exploring does not have a commercial outlet.
Emerge
Emerge is a programme of mentoring together with a bursary of £1,000 for early career artists or makers, working in any visual art or craft medium, who have a strong connection to Dumfries & Galloway.
